Yellowstone is mostly in Wyoming, but also parts of Idaho and Montana.
Yellowstone National Park is situated around the Yellowstone Caldera, a volcano which last errupted 640,000 years ago. According to the National Park Service, Yellowstone has the greatest concentration of geothermal features in the world. The most famous, the Old Faithful geyser, errupts roughly every 88 minutes.
